FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client is a fast and popular method of data exchange on the Internet. However, to use it, you need a special application installed on your computer.

• For Windows users, we recommend SmartFTP, a good (and free) FTP program.
• For Macintosh users, there is a program called "Fetch" (free 15-day trial is available) or, if you are looking for freeware, visit this page.

This site has a complete step-by-step guide on how to use SmartFTP and here you can find information on how to install and run "Fetch" (the complete user guide to Fetch is available through Fetch help file).

When connecting to Fotki, use ftp.fotki.com as an FTP address and your Fotki username and password as login information.

Important: you need to create at least one album on Fotki prior to uploading photos to your Fotki account. You will not be able to create albums or folders on Fotki through FTP.
